Meet the artist that made all this possible...
It goes without saying that children's picture books require pictures. However, to say it so simply would be to unjustly describe just how beautifully put together Gareth and Victoria's books are.
The work that goes into the design of a children's picture book usually requires a large team, yet Gareth and Victoria somehow manage to do it all.
The writing, editing, illustrating, consultations, testing, formatting, and publishing is all done by these two hardworking individuals. It may take longer, but the result is books that children love to read, which makes it all worthwhile.
Victoria has the ability the masterfully create a character, that you can instantly feel a connection with from the moment you see the preliminary sketches. The scenes she creates are bright and bold and draw you in. It's hard to look at her artwork without being captivated by it.
You need look no further than this website for the work Gareth and Victoria have produced together. This is a mere taste of what she is capable of. It is highly recommended that you take a look at her own website and social media pages to see more of her work. You're in for a treat.
When you think artist, you think paint, or drawing. But, just like Gareth is more than an author in the writing world, Victoria is much more than an artist.
Gareth continues to push the boundaries in his work, and has taken on producing, script writing, and even began to dabble in music. In order to extend his reach into these areas, he needs to work closely with a team of professionals. Luckily for Gareth, Victoria is also skilled in the art of animation, video production and more.
With very little to go on, Gareth asked Victoria if it was possible to animate a character for a children's T.V. show pilot. The 'I Can't Draw Dragons, Can You Help Me?' show now has a pilot episode with a live motion avatar of the star of that show, Rachel Ivy. Additionally, the children's illustrations in the show are animated for that extra special touch, which the children love.
Knowing this, Gareth asked Victoria if she would be interest in a highly ambitious project to bring the story 'Dragons of the Sapphire Stream' to life as a live motion children's picture book. With little more than that to go on, Victoria got to work. And now it's available to watch for free on both this website and YouTube.
Gareth has many more plans for his writing career, some of which are yet to be explored. One thing is for sure, his partnership with Victoria Emma is one he treasures. You never know what this amazing team will come up with next...
